Good morning people =)
I just have to blog after reading the Straits Times today. The forum part you know. Its about the Malay Community and the need to educate our Malay boys. Me, i honestly believe and agree to the writers point of view.
The author said that OUR malay community needs to change their mindset. Which i SO believe its a must. They will forever go with this " tidak apa " attitude which literally means " its ok " or " heck care " for that matter. Hmm they really dont care about their future. With increasing Delinquents, Teenage Pregnancy and drop out rate. We can see that our community is walking straight to its doom. This is why, the malay community is looked down in Singapore. We cant blame the other races for that. We brought this upon ourselves. Some people in our community are really doing wonders for themselves. Hmm i dont mean Taufik Batisah or Hady Mirza because seriously i dont see the greatness they do in up bringing our communities name. Hady got his ears pierced. For stage and entertainment purposes he did it.He can actually not do it because its against our religion. He looks good without it anyway ( im not GAY ).
Mardan Mamat is a great example that us youngster should follow. Despite being a drop out from Primary school he worked hard as a Caddie and later turned and become our best local professional. Malay tend to give up easily. I hate that.. even though im a a Malay as well. Im mix so it dosent affect me much though. Lets give an example of why people look down on us. In the public transport. They blast their ears deaf with utterly disgusting music. They wont talk politely or what not. Profanities is a must inside their conversation. A classic example would be. "eh puki mak kau la " for my non malay friends .. it means " ni de nabu cheebye " Their PDA is never ending. Get a room. Teenage pregnancy ? -ugh- come on .. dont tell me you cant afford condoms ? its like so cheap ?
School drop out. School .. DAMN ! i hate it thats for sure but i still nevertheless go to school because education is SO SO important in Singapore. Im so trying my best to get my Law Diploma and hopefully my degree and then Barrister so i can practice law in Singapore. " them " ? they just stop studying at Secondary level. Worst is .. they dont have an ' O ' level which is in Singapore is just peanuts. Gangsterism for them is a must. I once get disturbed by them when they thought i was chinese ( courtesy of my father of being one ) and they went " eh kau tengok budak cine itu, blajar law seh. Takot sak aku " which means " eh,look at that chinese boy, his studying law. Im so scared " for fuck you scared for ? Lousy MUDS,MUTTS,MAT.. -sigh- get a life can ? stop strumming your guitar. Its ok for leisure .. dont make it your life.
I really respect those MATS who decided to turn over a new leaf and started working while studying. I have a collegue who doest that. His 21 .. my brothers age and his working and studying. He told me his going to remove his tattoos for he deeply regrets it. I so respect this kind of people. People at my work place really likes his attitude because he NEVER complains and do things quickly and efficiently .. what a guy. * hats off to him *
Ok enough of that . I really pray people will slap themselves and start doing something productive and not just lazing around looking at the skies. Im proud to be both Malay and Chinese. Hmmm Public law is calling me now. -im hungry-
Oh yeah, they might argue that its their life and they have the right to do what they one. Yes thats true.Just do things that will benefit you.Yes,you dont see the out put now .. but when your working its just happens. Imaging earning big bucks and feeling proud that your family lives in comfort having luxurious items.
I once live a hard life. I dont blame my dad. Now im living happily. Not so happy as in 2004 when my dad can bring home 15k a month =P.
Phew.. I'm still alive...
